Jackson Drilling are looking to recruit someone to oversee all aspects of their vehicles and plant as well as their health and safety requirements. The candidate will also be required to carry out other additional tasks asked of him or her and have been involved in the drilling industry for minimum of ten years.
I.O.S.H qualification an advantage. Must also be conversant with Vosa regulations and requirements.

Due to demand, Jackson Drilling Ltd prepare another rig for Africa. This time a cable percussion rig is being sent as they now know it is better suited for the overburden drilling to improve production.

Jackson Drilling Ltd is now able to offer as much or as little as the customer requires in the drilling and installing of water boreholes. Since March, Jackson Drilling Ltd have drilled and installed several systems for Farms, Nurseries, Holiday complexes and domestic properties. “We find people prefer one company to do all of the work, so if they have any concerns it’s only one telephone number!”

ensure all there plant meet the Health & Safety requirements.

Jackson Drilling were present at the Bath showground on two occasions during 2011. The weather was kind, and the turn out good. “It is always good to come to these shows, not only to win more business, but to fly the flag! A REAL ‘VICTORY’ FOR JACKSON DRILLING LTD


Jackson Drilling Ltd completed a prestigious drilling contract earlier in the year along side HMS Victory at Portsmouth. Driller Mike Locke and Richard Crook were praised for their professionalism especially on the way they kept the site tidy, took care not to damage the environment, and caused minimal disruption throughout. All works were completed on schedule and to the complete satisfaction of the client; you could say all was ship shape!

A few years ago Jackson Drilling Ltd broke into the geothermal market being a supporter of green energy. They’ve now ventured into the solar powered market also. Who knows what’s next? wind or sea power!

existing ‘Cut Down Rig’ to get into those even tighter
places! We’ve taken our rig through gateways and
gardens and even through people’s living rooms that
don’t have rear access.

Jackson Drilling Limited is now a member of the Ground Source Heat Pump Association. As well as drilling the borehole, we can now offer to carry out all electrofusion welding, pressure testing and the final connection to the heat exchanger. For further information click here.

The New Year has certainly started by ‘hitting the ground running’ for Jacksons. Time once again to have all the equipment checked and certified. All of Jackson Drilling rigs have now been guarded, all l.o.l.e.r
Examinations have been completed, ropes and shackles replaced for new, and last but not least all SPT equipment calibrated to meet the standards.

Jackson Drilling Ltd have just re-commissioned their ‘low headroom’ and ‘cut down’ rigs. The low headroom rig is designed for working under low canopies such as fuel stations, inside factories or similar. The ‘cut down’ rig is designed to get into those awkward difficult access sites. It can be dismantled, moved by hand, trolley or wheel barrow and then re-assembled on the drill location. Additional to this Jackson drilling also have a small rotary rig capable of fitting through small openings such as standard doorways or garden gates.

Overseas Drilling ! Jackson Drilling are currently drilling in The Shetland Islands at present. To say it’s overseas may seem laughable to some, but how many out there realise it’s a 15 hour trip on a ferry to get there!
Water Boreholes
Jackson drilling announces a record year for the drilling of water boreholes is fast approaching with 87 completed to date and it’s still only October !
Geothermal Boreholes
Jackson Drilling have recently completed a small eight hole geothermal drilling programme for Retherm in Birmingham and carried out all Electrofusion jointing for the final installation.

After a well deserved Easter break three drilling crews are continuing with the site investigation works on land adjacent to the ‘Wicker Man’ which overlooks the M5 near Bridgewater. The works are being undertaken and supervised by a Bristol based consultants and involve the sinking of up to 19 cable percussion boreholes with rotary coring to follow on.
