Water Wells & Boreholes
Jackson Drilling Ltd is heavily involved with providing all the necessary works for the delivery of independent water supplies for domestic and agricultural use. The independent water supplies can provide constant flow, pressure and volume of water at the flick of a switch (equivalent to a good mains supply).

We can provide the design and construction of a borehole for domestic and commercial use, agricultural purposes, golf courses and anyone who needs readily available water! We can also provide a complete service, including well and pump installation, pump testing, water sample testing, abstraction license management and filtration system design.
- Enjoy natural and free water to your taps
- Reduce water costs by 80%—with no meter, all you pay for is the cost of electricity to your pump
- No licence is needed for private users abstracting under 20 cubic metres a day.
- We provide a complete water borehole service including a fully installed borehole, pump and pump testing, water testing and if required – borehole servicing and maintenance.
Most of our work is done on the basis of a geologist’s Borehole Prognosis Report (see below) combined with a visit from a registered water diviner and we provide a written quotation including a full schedule of the work that we will undertake.
The materials used, and our engineering methods, are always to a high standard, and care is taken to protect groundwater resources.

BOREHOLE PROGNOSIS REPORTS
A borehole prognosis report will not guarantee success, but will highlight potential problems that may arise ahead of commissioning a borehole drilling project. It allows an informed decision to be made and a more tailored quotation for the project. It is subject to site visit, location, scale of the project, engineering difficulty and availability of geological data.
A written prognosis normally takes between 10-14 days after receipt of payment. Jackson Drilling can commission a report on your behalf, using our sister company Geological Surveys Limited, who are also based in Somerset (www.geological-surveys.co.uk).
The prognosis report provides:
- Details of the underlying geological sequence
- Probable water availability
- Likely water quality
- Depth indication
- Environmental considerations
